Old Business

  • Chris- t-shirts official design on the computer will be sent to company and we will finally have progress.

New Business

  • Jared, residence hall energy concerns- no power hour-kind of about going green! Shut off the quiet hour lights for an extra hour during the day-and ask residents to shut off computers and lights maybe come to lounge- does not save that much money but the point is to raise awareness of saving money and energy, someone at MACURH had already suggested this from Missouri state-try to get this to succeed campus wide. Just an hour? Can we expand it to computer labs, etc? We have to work with reslife because there is a power box to shut off.
Joellen-presidents climate commitment and student senate are looking into this in academic buildings, why did it fail?
    Kyle- not enough awareness
    Jared-everyone wants to go green.
Amanda- start with one dorm and then moving into other dorms?
Jared-We are going to talk with residents and see if it is ok with everyone. Flyers for halls to present to their own senates
Chris W.-Do you want RHA to do anything or just show support?
Jared- awesome if RHA did a campus wide program but this is mainly a method for me to talk with each senate since everyone comes together here.
  • Appoint someone to student senate- Kim was official representative SUB 3000 at 6pm. Sean volunteered.
  • Kendall was facilities rep but he is not coming back either-second Wednesday of every month at 9am. No one volunteered so take it back to your senates. John will be there!
  • Ryan B.-representative from each hall with SAs and they are going to be putting on budget program, Ryle and Grim together in main lounge, West Campus and Centennial Hall in C-Hall main lounge, Missouri hall and BNB in Missouri Hall Chariton room February 2-6 at 7pm Mondays-MO hall and BNB Tuesday-Ryle and Grim and Thursday-West and C-Hall Lizz Esfeld will be at the meeting, open forum for students to ask questions and lobbying dates. Please let senates know and SAs will be advertising. Feb 7 training day for lobbying.
