  • Ryan explained the bidding process for MACURH applications. Motion to reconsider the support for Sharon. Kyle seconded. Motion passes. Brooke motions to table. Ryan seconded. Motion passes.

Vice President (Regina Rodgers):No Frills leave at 6am. Senate of the week: Grim Lion name-Simba Timpleton Barnaby (sp?)
Secretary(Tiffany Mooney):mail.
Treasurer (Chris Walters):the other Chris is sick and gone. He was going to bring checks for all the senates so you will have to wait.
NCC (Kim Heitzman): No Frills tomorrow at 6am. Still reading bids. NACURH presentations next week probably. Applications will be up next week or the week after
Webmaster (Katherine Tynan): Working with Kim on Getting A NACURH application up soon. Putting Members Section up this week. If you are an official rep for your hall and don't want your name put up please talk to me or email me kmt8264@truman.edu

NRHH (Craig Deken): meeting on Sunday
Student Senate: (Sean Serroque ) First reading of resolution supporting Governor Nixon’s plan for level funding. Storm the capital February 25th you can still sign up and training on the 23rd. Today was university conference and discussed curriculum changes. FINS class discussed-“freshmen JINS”, LSP amendments, and others

Hall Reports
Blanton-Nason-Brewer Hall:Arranged everything for our second fast food runs that will be on March 4. Continued working on all of our events some more. Next is Senior Prom on Feb. 28th. Super Milkshake Brawl went really really well. 29 people showed up to participate in the tournament, and around 10 or so just came to watch.
Centennial Hall:Both of our Valentine's Day events were a success!! We are starting some eco-friendly things and would like to partner with some of the other senates to make this a campus-wide effort.We are planning on doing a Housekeeper Appreciation event and would like to try and coordinate with the other halls to do this at the same time.We are considering some other spring ideas, such as a spring fling dance, a spring egg hunt, or decorating spring eggs.
Grim Hall and the Apartments:Housekeeper Appreciation and Love Sucks Then You Die both went really well. Having a Knitting Circle Program on this Saturday(21rst) in the TV Lounge all afternoon for people who like to knit or crochet or want to learn to do either.
Missouri Hall:no report
Ryle Hall:Mardi Gras party in Friday in the main lounge of Ryle. Masks and cake walk included. Banana tag is coming. Spaghetti dinner to raise money for the Humane Society on March 1st $3.
West Campus Suites:no meeting because they went to Sal Costa’s program.

Committee Reports

  • Resident Affairs: Looking at other schools similar to Truman with policies in place already regarding the senate resolution. We will work from there. Working with ECO to make signs for above the recycling to let people know what should NOT go in them
  • Programming:Reslife week: Monday pop ice on the quad and notes with the events for the week. SAs are doing core values in the halls. “Truman week” like competition with award at the Bull dog bash. Tuesday-scavenger hunt. Wednesday-fun and spirit life size foosball on the football field. Thursday-sidewalk painting possibly. Each hall will get a square to decorate. Marble design. Friday- Hula lessons NRHH-penny wars that week. Publications for advertisements for that week.
  • Internal Affairs:Emily won crazy hat contest!
