Hallowed Halls: Annual Halloween Decoration Competition & Community Safe Trick-or-Treat The following rules and information pertains to these events: Decorating Rules: 1. Do not cover/block any entrances 2. Do not cover/interfere with any fire safety equipment or any walkways 3. Do not cover any light fixtures or the light emitted (including emergency and exit signs) 4. Fog/Smoke machines are not allowed 5. Keep everything PG-13 (little kids will be walking these halls) **Noncompliance with these rules may result in disqualification. A pizza social to the winning house will be awarded!!! Vital Information: Houses can start decorating October 30th after 12 noon. All decorating must be completed by 5PM on October 31st . Judging will take place October 31st during Trick-or-Treating and the winners will be announced Thursday November 3rd at http://rha.truman.edu. The criteria for the judging includes: creativity, presentation, compliance with rules, scariness, and intricacy. All decorations must be taken down by noon on November 1st . All SA's wishing to have their house judged must e-mail Susie Pope, RHA Programming Chair (slp256@truman.edu) by noon on October 30th . Thank you for your support. TRICK-or-TREATING: Also, trick-or-treaters will be coming around campus throughout the halls on Monday, October 31st from 6PM-8PM. Sign up sheets have been given to Hall Senates and SAs for participating rooms who are willing to hand out candy. Halloween door decorations will be given to participating rooms to mark which rooms will be handing out candy to children. This year, “home bases” (location for guided tours) will be designated in each participating hall. Additionally, there will be activities for children in the main lounges of Ryle and Centennial Hall from 5:30-6:30.
